“Art to Wear”

In 2004 we are celebrating our 20th year in business. Originally a group of five local fiber artists, the gallery has evolved to sole ownership by Dona Zimmerman, one of the original five. Our initial goal was to offer “Art to Wear” clothing created by local weavers, handspinners and dyers. From that small group of local artists we have grown over the years into an internationally known fiber arts gallery, focusing on local artists and also embracing “Art to Wear” and other forms of “Fiber Art” from all over the United States.

Our selection of wonderful “Art to Wear” includes jackets, coats, capes, shawls, dresses, skirts, tops, pants, scarves, hats, bags and jewelry for all occasions. If you are looking for something unique and personal we will do custom orders and sizing for your special occasion. We emphasize natural fibers and only the finest quality workmanship. Some of the artists represented are weavers: Marsha Flesher/Loominus Handwoven, Linda Thurow/Handwoven Impressions; silk painters: Carter Smith, Ellen Gienger/EGO, Laura Holshouser; surface design: Beppa, Joyce Fogle; knitters: Maggie White, Mari Sweaters; jewelry: Shelley Kaldunski, Chickenscratch, and Thomas Mann.

In addition to “Art to Wear” The Web-sters offers workshops and instruction in all areas of fiber arts, including internationally known knit designers who visit us on US tours. If you are interested in learning any of these wonderful techniques, be sure to check our website, www.yarnatwebsters.com for upcoming events. We also offer an amazing selection of yarns and tools for all fiber art forms.

The Gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week year around. Please come and visit us.
