Omar's Restaurant

The 1999 Taste of Ashland was the best yet and the participants got a chance to select their favorite food selections. The highest number of votes went to OMAR'S, Ashland’s oldest continuously operating restaurant.

The food selections presented by all the restaurants were spectacular but Omar’s went beyond the call of duty. They smoked their own salmon and oysters, prepared chicken sate with peanut sauce, peel & eat shrimp, sushi rolls, just to name a few.

Omar’s opened in 1946 and a tour of Ashland would be incomplete without a visit to this Ashland landmark. Omar’s is consistently voted the “Best of Ashland” for steaks, favorite dinner menu, and “People’s Choice” for best seafood.

You will be sure to enjoy Omar’s original salad tray, professional wait staff, delicious lunches, fair prices and friendly bar. As proprietors since 1974, Rolar and Don invite you to come and taste why Omar’s is one of Ashland’s favorite spots.
